By plane

It’s not just the chairlifts that have sped up. With the relatively new Snow Jet flights from Stansted to Sion, airport transfer times to Thyon are around 30 minutes which makes Thyon one of the fastest transfer times in the Alps. Alternatively, there are airport transfers from Geneva to Thyon which take around 2 hours.

By car

Coming from France via Chamonix, the easiest way is to go over the mountain pass into Martigny and head towards Sion. Once through the under pass on the motorway at Sion, exit and follow the directions to Thyon.

By train

If you do fly in to Geneva, another transfer option to Thyon is by train. Direct from the airport, the rail transfer to Sion is a must. Skimming around Lake Geneva is a jaw-dropping, and spectacular way to begin and end your holiday.
